Forcing Forsythia

We had an incredible warm spell last week, and the forsythia is starting to finally come out. I love forsythia... its such a breath of fresh air after the long Vermont winters. Ever since early March however, I've been able to have forsythia inside the house by forcing it. My grandmother always used to do this for center-pieces for the annual sugar on snow suppers. I guess I'm following in her footsteps (especially as I'm in the garden club she was once a very active member of). Anyway, here are some lovely photos of forsythia that I've had around the house over the past month or so.
