Independence Day Inspiration

It's almost here! The 4th of July! It is one of my favorite holidays. I was just looking at some pictures from last year's party to give me some inspiration for this year and I thought I would share these simple and fun ideas.

Tomato and Mozzarella Flag

Watermelon, Cucumber, and Feta Flag. Have you ever had this combination in a salad by the way? DELICIOUS!

Peppers and Cheese Flag

Fruit Pizza

Red, White, and Blue Goodness

One of my favorite things about the 4th of July is the freedom to make (and eat) all kinds of wonderful  foods and desserts. There are so many fresh berries right now... and isn't it convenient that they come in lovely reds and blues?? And how wonderful is it that whipped creams and cream cheeses are white? Its just perfect for the 4th! Here are some great red, white, and blue food ideas to spark up your Independence Day.

Happy Independence Day!

I'm planning a party for the 4th of July, which all in America know is Independence Day! I recently joined the site Pininterest, and its a fantastic way to collect images from the web and organize your thoughts. I put together an image board for my party as a way of getting inspiration and planning my menu. Check it out here if you want some great ideas too.
