In the vineyard of the Lord...

A wee update on our little vineyard. Earlier this summer, my husband and I planted around 250 little grape plants (vinifera).. two red varieties (Cabernet Franc and Gewürztraminer) and two whites (Riesling and Chardonnay).

This is what they now look like...

Our 'vineyard' next to our soon-to-be tennis court

This is the root stock (what they looked like when they arrived)

And this is the field right before planting

When we bought the house last year, this field was full of large sumac trees and other large brush. Its amazing to see its evolution over such a short time... and it will be fun to see the grapes continue to grow and to be able to look back on the photos in the future.

Proverbs 31:16
She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard. :)

John 15:5
I am the vine, you are the branches. The one who abides in me while I abide in him produces much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing
