The other day I randomly had a few Mary Poppins songs in my head. I loved that movie when I was young... ok I still do, even though I haven't seen it in forever. Anyway, one of my favorite parts of that movie is when they jump into the chalk drawing and have some lovely adventures. It made me think of the pavement art of Julian Beever. If you haven't seen his work, here are a few examples. It doesn't take much imagination to picture yourself 'jumping' in and having some incredible Mary Poppins-style adventures too.
This is what the above picture actually looks like on the ground in order to make it have the 3-D effect from the other direction.
Here's to a Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious week!
If you could jump into a chalk drawing, where would you go??

Wow. These are just truly amazing. I've never seen chalk art in person, but I sure hope I do one day. Gorgeous!
Wow that is some gorgeous and awe-inspiring art. I especially loved the 3d pool picture with the girls leg up in the air.
